Rookie Makes It Rain Feathers At The MLB’s Spring Training
Finally, something to make baseball a little more interesting for casual viewers, too bad this is probably a once in a life time thing.
During a spring training game for the Detroit Tigers the other day, their newest rookie James McCann hit a foul ball. Nothing unusual there.
It's what happened next that will shock you. The ball, on its path of total destruction, slammed into a bird in mid-flight!
The collision caused a cloud of feathers and a big gasp from the fans as they realized what had just happened.
Surprisingly, this isn't the first bird to be nailed by a baseball during spring training. Back in 2001 legendary pitcher Randy Johnson nailed a bird during a pitch. Check out that video below and see the latest flying casualty of spring training above.
