Houston, Texas Man Fires Dozens of Shots Outside of Sheriff’s Office
A viral video shows a man firing an AR-15 into the air directly outside of a Texas Sheriff's Office.
Over the weekend, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office located in Crockett had quite the incident in their lobby. Apparently Saturday morning, just past 7AM, 34-year-old Clifford Heniser walked in the Sheriff's Office claiming to be a federal agent. He said he needed to review some records that the Sheriff's Office had in their possession. The dispatcher in the lobby told him deputies were coming up to talk with him. That is when Heniser walked out to his truck to grab an AR-15.
The dispatcher hid under the desk when they noticed the gun and that is when Heniser walked back outside. He was seen on the surveillance footage, firing around thirty shots from the AR-15 directly in the air in the Sheriff's Office parking lot. Heniser was arrested in the parking lot before he could get away. Police say he had another pistol, four more rifle magazines, and over 300 rounds of ammo in his truck.
Obviously Mr. Heniser is going to be facing several charges for his actions on Saturday morning. Unlawfully carrying a weapon, criminal trespass, and deadly conduct. Also, since Heniser when entering the Sherriff's Office told the dispatcher he was a 'federal agent' he is also facing a charge of impersonating an officer.
The Sherriff's Office also announced a new policy is going into effect because of this incident. Their lobby doors will remain locked from 5PM on Fridays, until 8AM on Monday mornings.
