
Trail Around Wichita Falls Waterfall Will Be Closed for Over a Year
Bad news for those who enjoy cardio on the Wichita Falls Circle Trail, a portion of it will be closed for quite some time.
Well the Wichita Falls Circle Trail has had good news and bad news hit it this month. Just a few weeks ago, people were celebrating that a new portion of the Circle Trail was open to the public.

The Loop 11 Connector Trail fills about a half-mile gap between Lucy Park and Loop 11, giving trail users a safer way to make the connection without having to travel alongside traffic.The City of Wichita Falls still has a one mile portion of the trail near Lake Wichita to complete a 24 mile continuous trail. That is expected to be completed in 2028.
Portion of Circle Trail Near The Falls Closed Until 2028
As you probably know, The Wichita Falls Waterfall has been shut off for quite some time. They're going to begin work on the rock facade and for the public's safety, this portion of the trail near The Falls will be closed until April of 2028. The City of Wichita Falls did say over the summer, that this work would begin in September. You can check out their plan below.
Future of Wichita Falls Waterfall
We will wait and see what happens with the Circle Trail and our Wichita Falls Waterfall in a few years. Sounds like both projects plan to wrap up in 2028. Until then we will have to wait to put 'The Falls, Back in Wichita Falls'. PLAY THE SONG!
