Hear me out,I have an idea for the Wichita Falls Waterfall to make it a better attraction at certain times of the year.

So I was scrolling through X (formerly Twitter) this morning and someone gave me a good chuckle. The topic was most disappointing tourist attractions and someone mentioned Wichita Falls.

Someone said the Wichita Falls Waterfall in the summer. Which is technically true right now. The Wichita Falls Waterfall is shut off until next Monday for maintenance. According to Times Record News, cleaning is being done and routine maintenance. The main problem for The Falls is the pump. It actually pushes through 3,600 gallons of water a minute. The pump is old and needs to be replaced at this point most likely. Times Record News reported over the summer the city is looking into rehabbing this area and I have an idea.

Let's Light Up the Wichita Falls Waterfall!

Time to rip off an idea from probably the most popular waterfall in the country, Niagara Falls. They have different events every year where they light up for different causes. I just want our Falls lit up for holidays. Green for Saint Patrick's Day, Red and Green for Christmas, and my personal favorite orange for Halloween. Red for Halloween could also work to make the Falls feel like they're dripping blood.

'Put The Falls, Back in Wichita Falls'

About 60,000 people donated back in the mid 1980's to get 'The Falls Back in Wichita Falls'. Events like Falls Fest helped raise funds and also you could sponsor a brick that went into the construction of the new Wichita Falls Waterfall. Maybe a sponsor could advertise near The Falls if they sponsor the lights for the Holidays like I am proposing?

Just throwing out ideas to give The Falls an update that I think people would love to visit for a photo op as they're traveling through Wichita Falls.
