
Wichita Falls VA Clinic Receives Upgrades to Help Local Veterans
The Oklahoma City VA healthcare system announced they're expanding services with new clinics and upgrades. Wichita Falls local clinic is a part of this update.
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs operates hospitals and clinics throughout the country to help veterans receive medical care. For us in Wichita Falls, we're the only facility in Texas that falls under the Oklahoma City VA healthcare system. They just announced all their facilities in that system will be receiving upgrades.
What's New at the Wichita Falls VA Clinic?
Well first of all, they have expanded their facility. An additional 6,500 square feet was added. They have relocated their mental health facility to this new area so veterans do not have to go to two different places in town to receive care. Phase two of the plan will be wrapping up next month in Wichita Falls. The facility says Phase 3 should be wrapped up in early 2027. That will include an onsite X-Ray room.
Oklahoma City Healthcare System's Plan for Updates

With updating all these facilities in Oklahoma and ours in Wichita Falls. The plan is to be able to help out an additional 10,000 veterans in our area. Oklahoma will actually be getting three brand new facilities in Norman, Yukon, and Broadway. The goal is simple, get veterans more accessible healthcare.
