These little girls have promising futures ahead of them.

We were all saddened when the shootings in Dallas happened just a few weeks ago. 12-year-old Lauren Roach and 11-year-old Landry Nelon wanted to help out the families of those police officers that lost their lives. The decided to do what every kid thinks is a great money maker, an old school lemonade stand.

The girls were only expecting to make one hundred dollars. “It felt really good to know I was making a difference and that almost all of Dallas was doing the same,” said Lauren. Some people would not even get lemonade, they just wanted to help the cause. Lauren's mom said some people drove as far as thirty minutes once word got out.

All money from the lemonade stand went to the Assist the Officer Foundation, which offers financial help to the families of fallen officers. The girls never expected that they would raise $10,000 by the end of the day.
