Wichita Falls Artist Has Post Malone Mural Featured in Dallas, Texas
A local artist is apart of a project that shows off Texas musicians and you can check out her work on your next trip to Big D.
Back in December, The Deep Ellum Foundation announced something called The Musical Art Garden. These murals done by North Texas artists are showing love to musicians who played in the Deep Ellum music scene. Artists from pretty much every genre of music is featured somewhere in the Musical Art Garden.
Wichita Falls own Jaret Reddick has his own mural for Bowling for Soup, rapper BigXthaPlug, and Kelly Clarkson are some of the names you may recognize while walking the garden. Wichita Falls own Selina Mize who has several murals around town, got to be a part of this project and did one on Post Malone.
I happened to notice Selena show off her work today, even though she originally completed this back in December. Selena said it was one of the funnest murals she has ever done. If you want to see her mural along with all the others. They're underneath the I-345 overpass in Deep Ellum.
Why Have a Mural Collection Under the Overpass?
"There's nobody with a better knack for taking something that might be viewed by others as not worthy, or trash, or something that's not beautiful, to say no I have a different vision; and to be able to take it and turn it into something incredible," Deep Ellum Foundation Executive Director Stephanie Keller Hudiburg said.
Follow Selena Mize online to check out some of her beautiful artwork that is all over Texas. You can also check out a bunch on her website as well. Hopefully one day we can get Post Malone himself to take a picture with his mural.
