Sam Houston Elementary School Also To Be On the Market

Although it is not officially on the market yet, the WFISD did vote back in January to sell the two school properties. Kirby has officially hit the market, but we still wait for Sam Houston Elementary at 2500 Grant Street to get a listing. This school has been closed for far longer than Kirby was. Sam Houston officially had it's last classes at the end of the 2014 school year. The reason for the sales of the properties is the insurance costs. They cost $100,000 in insurance, plus they're subject to vandalism since they're no longer in use.

We will wait and see what ends up happening to these properties in the future.
