Most of the time when a ride is done at Six Flags Over Texas, it is blown up or demolished. Sometimes, the ride gets taken apart and reassembled at a new park. Here is where some of your favorite rides went.

Sky Hook (1963-1968 at Six Flags Over Texas)

A fairly simple ride designed by a company out of Switzerland. It was basically a cargo crane that would lift you up at the park. In 1969, it would move to Six Flags Over Georgia and it would move AGAIN in 1978 to Magic Springs Theme Park in Arkansas. It would close down in 1995 and be dismantled for scrap the next year.

Spindletop (1967-1989 at Six Flags Over Texas)

This spinning ride seen at the end of the video above lasted at Six Flags Over Texas for over two decades. It would spend ANOTHER two decades at Frontier City in Oklahoma City. It would be renamed Terrible Twister when it moved to Oklahoma. In 2014, they would rename it again to Tumbleweed where it ran for another five years. It would officially be removed from the park in 2021.

Missile Chaser (1977-2002 at Six Flags Over Texas)

You probably know this ride as a standard scrambler ride at pretty much every amusement park in the world. The ride moved from time to time at Six Flags Over Texas. Where Superman Tower of Power is located used to be the original home to this ride, Six Flags over Texas would move it near the Titan roller coaster for one year. It would then be shipped off to Six Flags Magic Mountain where it operated until last year. They would call it The Scrambler at their park.

Flashback (1989-2012 at Six Flags Over Texas)

We have our first massive ride that would be relocated. A roller coaster that would pull you up a massive hill that would let you right the track forwards, then you would ride the track backwards. You can actually still enjoy this exact same ride today at Six Flags St Louis. However, they have changed the color and the name to Boomerang.

Dallas Athletes on Video Game Covers

Let's combine two of my favorite things, sports and video games. Taking a look back at all the times the four major sports had a Dallas team on the cover. Bet you can't remember all of these.
