Now this is my kind of place.

I love to go and rummage through thrift stores. I can totally spend an afternoon searching for cool stuff that I can get on the cheap.

I also happen to love barbecue. So, EV’s Thrift Store down in Dallas is firmly on my radar.

A video shared on TikTok of the thrift store has been racking up the likes. A lot of the people commenting say they pass by it regularly and have never thought to stop – until now.

I’m kind of like the person who shared the video in that looks a little more a place to go and pick, rather than a place to go thrifting. Regardless, it looks like a damn cool place to spend an afternoon. Literally. I can get lost in a place like that for hours.

Speaking of spending hours there, they’ll also smoke meats for you on the weekend.

According to their website, EV’s had been feeding homeless and needy people for years, but decided to start feeding their customers as well:

You bring the meat, and we’ll smoke it! We have custom rubs and multiple flavors of wood to use! Charge is $1.50 per lb of meat. He’s done graduation parties, anniversary and birthday celebrations, holiday cookouts and more!

As someone who finds themselves in the Downtown Dallas area quite a bit, I’ll damn sure make it a point to stop by EV’s next time I’m in the neighborhood.
