Let’s talk about a subject that is near and dear to my heart. Booze.

It’s no secret that I enjoy a stiff drink. It’s the perfect reward for a good day’s work. I’m usually pretty good at pacing myself and not going too hard. But I would be lying if I told you I didn’t like to cut loose sometimes.

I will allow that cutting loose hurts quite a bit the next day and I’m no fan of hangovers. So, I do my best to keep my drinking in check.

The fact of the matter is that some of us go a little harder than others. Interestingly, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) data shows that people in some areas are likely to drink more heavily than people in others.

And let me tell you – the data shows we love our booze here in the Lone Star State.

The crazy thing about the interactive map put out by Intoxistates is that it breaks the data down by each county in the United States. That had to be a ton of work.

Of course, you, my fellow Texan, came here to find out if the county you reside in is the drunkest in the state. And if you happen to call Loving County home, I’m pleased to inform you that yes, you do.

Take a look at the interactive map that lays out the booziest and driest counties in the United States here.
