A video of crickets invading a Texas parking lot is getting a lot of attention on social media.

Even though it happens every year, I still get creeped out when swarms of crickets invade the Lone Star State.

Here’s the thing – whenever I find a cricket in my house, I pick it up and take it outside. So, it’s not like I’m afraid of them. They’re harmless little creatures.

But it’s a different story when I see a whole bunch of them in one place. It looks like a scene out of a horror movie to me.

I can just imagine those things swarming my body until I’m completely covered by them. Now that I think about it, maybe I’ve watched a few too many horror movies.

Anyway, I digress. As I mentioned earlier, it’s a natural phenomenon that will pass with time.

According to Texas A&M Agrilife, they’re more of an annoyance than a threat - especially if one gets in your house and chirps all night long.
