Watch Floodwaters Swallow Vehicles Across the Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Here’s a reminder to adhere to the old saying “turn around, don’t drown.” Remembering those four words could be the difference between life and death during flash flooding. 

I’ve always felt that way too many people underestimate just how dangerous flooding is. Hell, I’ll go ahead and admit to being guilty of it right here in front of God and everybody. Well, I did once, anyway. Luckily, I was able to steer clear of flooding on the roadway during a heavy downpour and promised myself I would never let it happen again.

I would imagine the folks in these videos will probably never make that mistake again either, after rain drenched the DFW area last Friday morning. However, it does look as if some of the vehicles were parked before the flooding began, but I’m not 100% certain that’s the case. 

Regardless, I always take the time to share these sorts of videos to serve as a public service announcement to get the word out about just how dangerous flooding can be. If it makes just one person think twice about driving through a flooded roadway, it’s well worth my time.
