Watch Assault Bring Austin Traffic to a Standstill

Some Austin folks’ commutes were interrupted after an assault spilled over to a freeway access road.

It pains me to say that Austin isn’t what it used to be. Sure, there’s always been craziness there. But it seems like craziness is the rule rather than the exception these days – at least when it comes to what’s put out there on the internet, anyway.

Austin is still a great destination for good food and entertainment. But it’s also a great place to go if you want to witness the worst coming out in people.

My case in point is the video below.

Why in the world those people were beating the hell out of one another in the middle of the access road is beyond me. What I do know is that the guy who is getting beat with what appears to be part of a crutch felt it the next day.

When I was a young lad, I thought I wanted to live in the big city. But every time I see a video like this one, I’m so glad I decided to put down roots in the sticks.

The more prevalent gangs are, the more likely the average citizen is to cross paths with affiliated members. As the population of Texas has increased in size and diversity, so have the gangs of the Lone Star state.

If you're not mixed up in organized crime shenanigans, then you're probably safe. But as the old adage goes, the more you know the better prepared you are.
