Look: Angry Goat Escapes Texas Auction House
I saw some wild stuff at Texas auction houses when I was growing up, but I never saw anything like this.
My dad was a cattle buyer, so I would go with him to auctions during the summer while I was out of school. After I was old enough, I would even work at the sale barn in Vernon to earn a little spending money.
Most of the heifers were pretty chilled out during the process and didn’t cause a ruckus. The bulls, however, were a totally different story. They were pissed and ready to take out their frustrations on the workers.

Those of us working in the alley outside would climb over the fence and get the hell out of the way when a bull would come through. Admittedly, I was still a little scared even though I was on the other side of the fence. Those suckers are intimidating.
But I don’t recall ever seeing a goat at an auction. The ones I attended were strictly cattle auctions. After seeing the incident in the below, I’m kind of glad I didn’t.
Watch as that mad-as-hell goat rams the fence and then turns around and jumps right over the auctioneer’s box, making his escape from the ring.
