Friendly reminder, we're less than two weeks away from Christmas Day. All over Wichita Falls, we have so many free things for you to do in December. We just had the City Lights Parade in Downtown Wichita Falls last weekend. Plus Electricritters and The Fantasy of Lights are a great way to see some beautiful Christmas lights for free.

Wichita Falls Public Library Holiday Open House 2025

Tomorrow, December 13, 2025. The Wichita Falls Public Library downtown will be hosting a free family friendly holiday event. If you haven't been to the library recently, they just did a massive remodel with all new carpet, so be sure you go downtown to check it out.

Live Music from Ken Nelson Jazz Band

Normally you expect the library to be quiet, but during the holiday open house, you will be hearing some Christmas classics from the Ken Nelson Jazz Band. They actually just performed some Christmas classics at 6th Street Winery if you want to give them a listen here.

“This is one of our favorite traditions at the library,” said Fox Baker, Program Librarian. “Every year,we love opening our doors for a joyful celebration with our community. The Ken Nelson Jazz Band will fill the library with fantastic holiday music, and visitors can join us for hands-on crafts, gift wrapping, photo opportunities, and much more.”

The Holiday Open House will be happening from 2:30PM to 3:30 PM Saturday December 13, 2025. The library also hopes you check out all the activities they have planned coming up for 2026.
