Tonight The Fantasy of Lights will light up for the first time in 2025 and here is everything you need to know.

For over fifty years, The Fantasy of Lights has brought Christmas joy to many in Wichita Falls. Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Burns had the original displays setup at their house on tenth street and throughout the years it got bigger and bigger. Since 1974, the displays have been setup at Midwestern State University. Thanks to donations and countless volunteers, this Christmas tradition continues in Wichita Falls year after year.

Fantasy of Lights Turns on Tonight at 6PM

For families that want to be their on the first night of 2025, MSU Texas President Stacia Haynie will be flipping the switch just after 6PM. Food trucks will be on site tonight if you would like to grab some dinner before taking in all the displays. Here is who is supposed to setup tonight.

Santa Claus Will Be On Site Tonight

The big man from The North Pole, will be making the trip to Wichita Falls to greet children and hear their Christmas wishes tonight. Santa is only at The Fantasy of Lights this one night, so be sure you don't miss out. Santa has to head back to The North Pole at 8PM. So be sure you don't miss out.

Fantasy of Lights Concert at 7PM

Once the displays light up and you have a chance to walk around. Don't miss out on a free concert put on by the Music Department of Midwestern State University. This will be happening in Akin Auditorium at 7 tonight.

How Long Will the Fantasy of Lights Run in 2025?

The displays will turn on around dusk every night and will shut off at 10PM. You can visit anytime between now and December 27. Also Santa's Mailbox will be setup until December 19th. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for Santa’s reply along with your letter.

Polar Bear Express Trolley Opens Thanksgiving Night

The trolley that takes you through to see Christmas lights through the Wichita Falls neighborhoods will start running Thursday. Tickets are $10, but free for children under five and current MSU Students with their ID. Friendly reminder it is cash only and the you can hop on the trolley near the Hardin Administration Building.
