Texas Men Get Arrested Painting Stolen Car with Paint Roller
Please tell me they were painting it red so I can say they were LITERALLY caught red handed.
Over in Plainview, Texas, local police were looking for a stolen Buick. It looks like police found the vehicle and two men painting the vehicle. By the way, not with auto paint and an air bush. Apparently the two guys were using good old fashioned paint rollers and house paint to disguise the vehicle.
I think these guys grew up playing a little too much Grand Theft Auto. In that game, you go get a new paint job and the cops instantly stop looking for the vehicle. Not how it works in real life guys. 26-year-old Austin Cansino and 33-year-old Mark Flores were arrested by Plainview police.
Cansino is facing charges of possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Flores is facing charges of possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was also found to have several warrants for his arrest including a parole violation from a prior charge of possession of a firearm by a felon. Both were booked into the Hale County Jail.
If you're planning on doing something as stupid as these two guys in the future. You probably want to do it in a closed garage and not on the street for everyone to see. Painting a car with a rolling brush is going to get you some unwanted attention.
