A manager at a fast food restaurant in Oklahoma has been arrested for spitting in a customer's food and transmitting a virus onto said customer.

Today we go to Broken Bow, Oklahoma which is right near the Oklahoma/Arkansas border. A lawsuit has been filed in the city after a woman got sick after eating at a local Arby's. The lawsuit states that Jennica Church went to pick up food for her family. After eating a sandwich, she thought she had a lesion or cold sore on her lip. Turns out it was actually Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV-1), which is also known as oral herpes.

According to Church, Broken Bow is a small town, and word was spreading around town that 38-year-old Amanda Hendricks was spitting in customer's food while being a manager at Arby's. According to Jennica's lawsuit, she claims that Amanda knew full well she was having a herpes outbreak, while spitting into customer's food.

Investigators with the Broken Bow Police Department said they saw video evidence of Hendricks spitting in Church’s food. Hendricks was arrested on Sunday and booked into the county jail where she has been charged with poisoning food with intent to injure.

According to Jennica, she believes her food was spat on because she got to the restaurant right before closing time.With it being a small town, she did know who Amanda was but claims the two have no major history together. You can read more on the case here.
