Ted Cruz In Trouble with Big 12 Conference Over Use of Campaign Logo

Hey Ted Cruz, just because you're from Texas, does not mean you can do that.

Ted Cruz claims to be a huge Texas Longhorns fan. After some comments he made, sounds like he is only a fan when the team is winning. The Longhorns play in the Big 12 conference and Ted Cruz decided to use a similar logo for a campaign promotion. To me it looks very similar, but you can see it for yourself.

Big 12 spokesman Bob Burda said the conference’s legal counsel, Kevin Sweeney, had sent a letter to Cruz campaign chief strategist Jason Johnson saying the campaign’s Big 12-style logo causes the conference “serious legal concerns.” The use “also implies a passive endorsement,” said Burda, who added that the conference’s non-profit charter prevents it from making any political endorsements.

Apparently Cruz has also put the logo onto some coozies that he is giving out and selling on the campaign trail. I am sure he will have to get rid of those and remove these logos immediately. I am sure if he doesn't do it, a lawsuit will be coming.
