Every couple has fought over which direction to take. Well fellas, you were right the whole time, and you probably would have saved a lot of time if you had gone your way instead.

A new study from the University of Utah has proven once and for all that men are better at directions than women.

A research team from the University traveled all the way to Namibia in Africa to test the theory by having couples from remote tribes use a map for the first time to find their way to a certain location.

They quickly noticed that the men in these tribes did way better than the women when it came to reading the map, and they may have evolution to thank for that.

The researchers believe that over time, men had to be able to figure out how to get to various locations in order to find the perfect wife, and therefor are better at navigating.

Basically, the men who were better at finding the right direction were more likely to find the perfect woman and pass on their map reading genetics to more offspring.

They also found that the men in these tribes who excelled at reading the maps for the first time had more children than the men who had trouble reading them.

So your map reading skills may be a good indicator of how you'll do with the ladies.
