You probably know the television show Cheers has a real bar in Boston, but did you know they had a food challenge?

Well I just got back from going up to Boston, Massachusetts to support my Dallas Mavericks in game 2 (let's not talk about how the game went). Besides the game, the one thing I wanted to do was go to the Cheers Bar. It's the most touristy thing in Boston, but I'm a sucker for TV nostalgia.

Now Cheers is before my time, but you can't deny it has one of catchiest TV themes ever. The bar has been open since 1969 as the Bull & Finch Pub. Don't expect the inside of the bar to look like it did on the show. The only thing that you will recognize is the entrance. With the sign with the hand pointing you into the basement. They officially changed the name to Cheers in 2001 after coming to an agreement with CBS.

It's actually bigger than I thought it would be in there. They have a few different rooms you can sit in and the whole reason I went to this place was to try their famous food challenge.

The Norm Burger Challenge

Essentially a double cheeseburger with onion rings and mushrooms on top. It came with a side of fries and a pickle spear. I hate pickles, but I forced it down to finish the challenge. Sadly, when I went live on the Instagram page this weekend, it got kicked off due to copyrighted music being played at the bar. I recorded the end on my phone so you watch that if you want.

Honestly, probably the easiest food challenge I have ever done. You get a cool certificate if you finish it. So if you like Cheers and are in the Boston area, go knock it out. Plus get a beer afterwards to celebrate your accomplishment. I promise you, they look nothing like they did on the show.
