Nightclubs here in Wichita Falls don’t typically stick around for long. So, we reached out to our friends on Facebook to see which former nightclubs they miss most, and these were their top responses.
I don’t know what it is about nightclubs, but they tend to open and close faster than any other business. It’s not just a Wichita Falls thing, either. You could say the same for clubs everywhere.
Ray Ford, co-owner of a management services company, tells OK College Start that the typical life of a nightclub or bar is two years. In fact, staying in business for a year is considered successful. It’s an insanely competitive business.

I will say that bars seem to have much better staying power in Wichita Falls. The same could be said for pool halls but nightclubs, not so much. I’ve seen some last more than a couple of years, but they’re the exception to the rule.
Thinking back to when I was in high school in the late 80s and early 90s, it seems like there was always a hot club that everyone went to. However, as soon as a cool new club opened, everyone started going there, which spelled the end of the other club.
