I have lived here in the Wichita Falls area for most of my life, and I only just today learned that there is a White House replica here. I guess I need to get out of the house and explore a little more.

The impressive structure, located at 3100 Hamilton Boulevard, was built between 1926 and 1929, according to Chron. While it’s not a replica, the mansion closely resembles the South Portico of the White House.

The “Wichita Falls White House,” named a Historical Landmark in 2000, has a whopping 17 rooms, with 5 to 7 bedrooms and 6 and a half bathrooms. If those walls could talk, I would love to hear about who and what they’ve seen come and go over the last 100 years.

The Oil Boom Origins of the Historic Mansion

The home was commissioned by Ella Pipes and Walter D. Cline, a wealthy oilman and former mayor of this great city of ours. After a financial downturn, the Clines were forced to sell the home in 1939 to fellow oilman and rancher Joseph Birdwell and his wife, Thora.

The mansion changed ownership several times over the years and was put on the market for $2.9 million in May 2025 and was removed in April 2026, according to the listing on Zillow. I recommend making the trip to the Country Club Estates area of Wichita Falls to see it for yourself to truly appreciate its grandeur.
