Texas Police Officer Makes the Delivery After Arresting DoorDash Driver
This is every stoner’s worst nightmare.
Imagine getting baked and then doing the right thing by not getting behind the wheel while stoned, instead opting to order some munchies through DoorDash.
The next thing you know, there’s a cop at the front door with your food.
That’s when panic sets in and you scramble to hide the bong and stash while trying desperately to cover the smell by spraying an entire can of Febreze throughout the house. Not that I’ve ever done anything like that, of course.
All kidding aside, an officer with the Alvin Police Department did a very cool thing for a couple last weekend.
Josh Walters and his wife had a kid-free evening, so they settled in for the night to watch a movie and order some food from DoorDash. However, whenever the doorbell rang, he checked the security camera and saw there was a police officer there.
Because having a cop at your door at night isn’t usually a good sign, Josh thought something was wrong with one of his kids, so he rushed to the door. Luckily everything was fine (for him anyway - not so much for the delivery driver).
According to the post on Facebook, he swung the door open and the officer said, “Good evening, did you order DoorDash?” When he responded that he had, the officer said, “Well, your DoorDash driver’s going to jail, but I wanted to get you your food.”
He said the two of them had a good laugh before the officer went on his way.
By the way, DoorDash still says that his dasher is “arriving.” I think needs to let them know that they dipped out of work a little early that night.
