Texas 911 Operator Hung Up on a Thousand Callers [VIDEO]
This 9-1-1 operators excuse for hanging up on so many emergency calls is insane.
Crenshanda Williams used to be a 9-1-1 operator in Houston. She is currently facing two misdemeanor charges of Interference with Emergency Telephone Call. An investigation has opened up further into Mrs. Williams time from the department from October 2015 to March 2016.
In that span, Williams had wracked up around 1,000 calls that totaled less than twenty seconds. I have had to call the cops a few times in my life and I was not on the line for twenty seconds. Williams said she did not feel like talking to people on the phone. Really? That's your freaking job description.
The two charges she is currently facing is for hanging up on people in emergency situations. One of them was actually a robbery at gunpoint. Williams picked up the call and hung up in a matter of seconds of the call. The person at the convenience store called back and was able to get a different operator. The manager of this convenience store was shot and killed.
The other incident is a security guard calling into the station to report reckless driving. Williams allegedly told the man, "Ain't nobody got time for this. For real," according to charge documents.
Williams no longer works for the Houston Emergency Center. She's scheduled to appear in court next week.
