Dallas Cowboys fans everywhere on this announcement: "Yeah, we knew this already."

The 2014 season had high hopes for Cowboys fans, finishing the regular season with a 12-4 record. They defeated the Detroit Lions in a very close wild-card game, then the next week, the Cowboys took on the Packers in the divisional round. In the last quarter of that game, a play happened that to this day Cowboys fans are still pissed about -- a pass thrown to Dez Bryant that he seemingly caught, but was ruled a no-catch.

Every fan watching that game knew that was a catch. My good friends who are Packers fans even admit to that being a catch. Even the freaking guy that was covering Dez Bryant admitted to it being a catch. It was a catch to everyone, except the ref reviewing the call. That's the only opinion that counts during the game.

The no-catch happened with about 4:30 left in the game. The play resulted in a turnover on downs as well. All the Packers fans would also say if it was a touchdown, Aaron Rodgers would have just drove down the field anyway. Guess what, we will never know now, A-a-ron.

During that 2014 off season, I was ready for a "we messed up" announcement from the NFL, but nothing. Maybe a change to rules, nothing.

Then, for some unknown reason to me, the NFL made an announcement Tuesday (2/27) saying Dez did indeed catch that ball. What year are we in? 2018, right? This is too little too late. We all knew he caught that ball. Hell, Cowboys fans went to their grave knowing Dez caught that ball.

The NFL competition committee is working on rule changes for this coming season to make sure something like this doesn't happen again. This should have happened for the 2015 season, but here we are.
