Modern Technology

Last May, the Wichita Falls City Council approved almost $800,000 for new light fixtures Downtown. These new lights will replace the old ones, using modern tech that’s better for the environment and easier on the eyes. City leaders hope that better lighting will bring more people out at night, help local businesses grow, and make Downtown a more exciting place to be.

Downtown Rules!

This project is part of a bigger plan to make Downtown Wichita Falls the go-to spot for locals and visitors. With upgrades to buildings and public spaces already in the works, the city is stepping up to create a place everyone can be proud of.

As someone who lives downtown, I can say from experience that these improvements are very much needed. There are some very dark intersections, especially the corner of 7th and Ohio, that I am very excited about finally being able to see when I am out walking my pups after dark.
