I have no faith in the institution of marriage if this happens. I have literally grown up with this family, they can't break up.

'The Simpsons' started in December of 1989 and I was born in July of 1989. As long as I can remember 'The Simpsons' were a thing. As I have stated many times before, the show is not as legendary as it used to be. However, if you don't think the first nine seasons of the show is one of the greatest television shows of all time, you're wrong. One thing that was constant on that show, no matter what Homer did, the family always stuck together.

Well I guess Marge has had enough of Homers antics because according to Al Jean, this season the duo will become legally separated. "In the [season 27] premiere, it’s discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it’s an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who’s voiced by Lena Dunham," Jean said.

I have seen episodes in the past where Homer or Marge consider leaving each other, but I never thought they would actually do it. It was revealed in season 20 that, due to a clerical error, the couple had been legally divorced since season eight, unbeknownst to Homer and Marge themselves. I hope this is just something to spike ratings for the season premiere. I don't want to see episodes where Bart, Lisa and Maggie have to go visit different parents on the weekend.
