Do you have what it takes to watch horror movies for 24 hours straight? If so, you could score $1,000.

Personally, I could watch horror movies all day, every day. But I’m getting old, therefore I need my sleep. So, I’m not up for the challenge.

However, one lucky horror fan will score a grand after the massive horror movie marathon, which is being presented by CableTV.com and HighSpeedInternet.com. The rules are simple, spend Halloween watching 24 hours of horror movies and don’t you dare fall asleep.

The ideal candidate “is a self-starter with an insatiable lust for nightmare fuel. When others say ‘Nope,’ you say, ‘Hell, yeah.’ You can stay up all night. You’re a US citizen over the age of 18. Most importantly, you’re a big horror fan—‘cause we don’t hire posers (not even as interns). You should prefer cult films to blockbusters and probably read Rue Morgue and BloodyDisgusting.com to learn about upcoming fright films.”

The best part of the marathon is that you curate it yourself. So, hop on Shudder, Netflix, Amazon, etc. and start putting together the perfect marathon that should consist of 12 to 16 movies, depending on the length of each flick.

The only requirement aside from staying awake and watching the movies is that you live-tweet the marathon.

In addition to the $1,000, you’ll also get a $50 Starbucks gift and Halloween candy to boot.

If you’ve got the guts and the energy to tackle the 24-hour movie marathon, submit your application here.
