I was honestly shocked no one had done this before.

Every year the Dallas Cowboys team up with the Salvation Army to help bring awareness to their cause. The Salvation Army sponsors the Thanksgiving halftime show every year and you always see the big red kettle in the end zone. I remember one game, years ago, Terrell Owens put one of his touchdown balls in the kettle.

Zeke decided to put his whole self into the kettle after a touchdown last night. He popped his head out like a little kid looking for monsters. With this being the No Fun League, Elliot got a fifteen-yard celebration penalty. “He should not have done it,” Dallas head coach Jason Garrett told NBC at halftime, “but we allow the Lambeau Leap, we allow snow angels, so that’s something we have to get worked out.”

It was a career day for Elliot, rushing for a career-high 159 yards last night. Word came down this morning from the league office that Elliot will not be fined for this celebration. Good, if anything it got people to talk about the Salvation Army. Which they definitely noticed last night.
