This is the Least Safe Car Brand in Texas
Do you drive the least safe vehicle brand in Texas?
I’m one of those who can’t preach enough about being safe behind the wheel. Defensive, non-distracted driving is the only way to go – especially in a town like Wichita Falls that is known for having a whole lot of bad drivers.

While the onus is on the driver to go about things safely, the make of the vehicle is also a critical part of the safety equation. Certain brands have a reputation for being more or less safe than others.
Oddly enough, research shows that the safest and least safest brands vary from state-to-state. Since you’re reading this, it’s safe to assume you live in the Lone Star State and want to know how your vehicle ranks safety-wise.
I have to admit to being just a tad bit disappointed when I read the results of the study conducted by Glass Doctor.
Nothing against them, they’re just passing the info along. No, I’m disappointed because the two vehicles sitting in my driveway are ranked among the three least safe vehicle brands in Texas – Dodge and Chevrolet. Yikes.
Top 3 Least Safe Vehicle Brands in Texas
- Dodge
- Mitsubishi
- Chevrolet
Don’t get me wrong – I'm very happy with both vehicles and they both (knock on wood) have been very reliable. It’s just that I tend to be loyal to the brands I’m a fan of and don’t really want to move on when it’s time to be a new vehicle.
So, maybe it’s time for Dodge and Chevy to step up and invest a little more in safety features.
