The Cowboys were ready to donate proceeds of Thursdays game to Hurricane Harvey relief, but it has now been canceled.

We got word earlier this week that the Dallas Cowboys game, scheduled to be played in Houston, was moved to Arlington. The Cowboys were ready to raise money for the people affected by Hurricane Harvey by doing huge ticket discounts and parking discounts with all the money going to relief.

The breaking news this morning is that the game is now canceled. The Houston Chron is reporting that the Texans had the opportunity to get back to their families in Houston and they're taking that opportunity.

40,000 tickets were already sold with only a few days notice from the NFL. If you purchased a ticket to the game, you can choose to have the money donated to Harvey relief or get a refund from your point of purchase.

The Texans and Cowboys will now wait for the regular season to start on September 10.
