Last fall, Chick-fil-A announced that they were introducing some new sauces to their menu. These new sauces were based on research the company did and were supposed to be even better and more of what the customer wanted. On of those sauces was the new Smokehouse BBQ Sauce which replaced the old BBQ sauce.

While the new sauce was supposed to be better, tastier, and "A smoky honey barbeque sauce, seasoned with a kick of black pepper," some people didn't like the change. In fact, there was an online backlash of people wanting their old sauce back. A Change.Org petition was started and bottles of the old sauce started popping up on Ebay.

There may not be a more passionate voice in #BBQGate than Jared Guynes He filmed this video a few days ago and it's already getting thousands of views. He breaks down the problems with the new sauce, talks of his history with the old sauce, and even somehow ends up comparing the company to Steve Jobs and the Apple Watch.

It seems the message may have made it's way from Guynes' '40-Year-Old Virgin' replica bedroom all the way to the Chick-fil-A higher-ups though. David Farmer, Chick-fil-A VP of Menu Strategy & Development made this video as an official response to Guynes.

Chick-fil-A also made this video announcing that they were bringing back the original BBQ sauce. Watch Chick-fil-A employees read some of the tweets about #BringBackTheBBQ. The old sauce will be back in stores and the new one will disappear on Monday, November 7th. Hopefully Guynes and the rest of the BBQ vigilantes out there can survive until then.
