Anonymous Midland Resident Scores $5M Texas Lottery Jackpot

A Midland resident just hit big with a Texas Lottery scratch-off. It’s the largest scratch-ticket jackpot that I’ve written about in the few months since I started covering the lottery. 

As someone who doesn’t win much when gambling, I’m thrilled to win any amount of money. I once scored $200 on a slot machine and was on cloud nine. I immediately cashed out and called it a night.

So, I can’t imagine how I would react if I scored $5 million. I would probably pass out right there on the spot. But one thing is for sure: the party would be on.

Where the $5 Million Winning Ticket Was Sold in Midland

Hopefully, the anonymous Midland resident who hit the jackpot in the $5 Million Royale game celebrated properly after winning that life-changing amount of money. The lucky player bought the ticket at Kent Kwik #325, located at 3006 Garden City Highway, in Midland, according to a press release. 

The ticket marks the second of four $5 million jackpot-winning tickets in the game. As you might expect, with that large jackpot on the line, those tickets aren’t cheap. But, if you’re willing to throw down $50 on a ticket, the odds of winning a prize in the game are one in 3.66, including break-even prizes.
