Another Texan Just Became a Millionaire Thanks to the Texas Lottery

Another day, another new millionaire thanks to the Texas Lottery. I swear, the folks at the Texas Lottery have been handing out millions like lollipops here lately. 

The interesting thing to me is that most of the big jackpots over the last few months have been on scratch-offs. Admittedly, I only started covering Texas Lottery winnings in about the last six months or so, so there’s a very good chance that's the rule rather than the exception. It’s just that I always figured scratch-offs produced smaller jackpots.

However, the latest big winner here in the Lone Star State scored $1 million in the Powerball drawing back on December 6. The lucky Keller resident bought the ticket at Crossroad Shell, located at 3605 Western Center Blvd., in Fort Worth, according to a press release. As usual, the winner wisely chose to remain anonymous.

Our latest millionaire won with a Quick Pick ticket that matched the five white ball numbers of 13-14-26-28-44, but not the red Powerball number, which was 7. And hey, they even won an additional 4 bucks on the ticket. Every dollar counts, right? 

Every time I write about a Texas Lottery winner, I find myself fantasizing about all the ways I would spend $1 million. And then I remember that I’m not the luckiest gambler on the planet, and that brings me right back to reality. I’m much more likely to continue writing about millionaires rather than becoming one.
