With the announcement of Becky Lynch as the first featured female cover superstar for a WWE 2K game, 2K Games announced other long-demanded additions.

Yesterday, WWE and 2K Games officially released the WWE 2K20 teaser showing Becky lynch literally break through the glass ceiling to join other WWE Superstars like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and the secondary featured superstar on this year's cover, Roman Reigns,

Though Torrie Wilson was featured in the background on the cover of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007, and Stacey Keibler on the Nintendo Gamecube exclusive 'WWE Day of Reckoning', this is the first time a female performer is in a featured position on what is considered the main line of WWE games. The inclusion of Reigns on the cover with Lynch led several commenters to complain that Lynch is having to share the spotlight. However, featuring both a female and male superstar on the cover directly ties into the MyCAREER portion of the game, where players will create both a male and female superstar to play as through the unique story, including mixed tag matches, both of which have been regular requests among fans for tears. Lynch will also be featured in this year's 2K Showcase, covering the rise of the 'Four Horsewomen', taking players through story-driven, objective-based historical moments in the WWE careers of Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.

The trailer for the game also included Hulk Hogan, who has been absent from WWE products for a few years following the controversy over racist remarks made by the wrestling legend. 2K Games confirmed that Hogan would be returning to the game series, along with another wrestler fans have been demanding for years, the recently inducted WWE Hall of Famer Chyna, who hasn't been featured in a WWE game since 2000.  “$500 Shirt” The Rock and Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection Mankind are also confirmed as DLC for the game.

The game is currently set to be released on October 22, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
