If you love video games, check this out this weekend in downtown Wichita Falls.

Retro South will be bringing a video game convention to the MPEC on September 6th and 7th. If you love classic video games and pop-culture from the 80s, 90s & early 2000s, this is the place for you this weekend. Here are some of the things you will get to experience. 

Vendor and Artist Alley

One of the best parts of a video came convention is being able to get a great deal on video games. Vendors will be bringing their collections of games for you to purchase. So if you have gone all over Wichita Falls trying to find those classic games, it maybe at one of these tables over the weekend. Artists will also be selling their video game art as well. Other collectibles will also be sold as well. So don't miss out.

Fighting Game Tournaments

For those that have some skill and think they're the best. Be sure you enter one of the many fighting game tournaments going on this weekend. The following games will be available for you to compete in.

• Street Fighter III: Third Strike
• Super Smash Bros Melee
• Street Fighter 6
• Tekken 8
• Super Smash Bros Ultimate
• Super Smash Bros Olympics (In this you play all versions of the game in one bracket)

Dance Dance Revolution Tournament

For those that prefer to dance over fight. A Dance Dance Revolution tournament will also be going down. Hosted by Marcus of Maniac's Mansion in downtown Wichita Falls.

Cosplay Contest

For those that want to dress up as your favorite video game character, you can compete in the cosplay contest Saturday night. After the contest, local artist Polly Pocket will be doing a live concert. You can check out their latest music below.

Voice Actor Guests

If you like anime, a few voice actors from popular shows will be right here in Wichita Falls this weekend.
