I went to New York City for the first time this past December, and I understood why a person would rather not have a vehicle if they live in that city. The traffic is terrible at best, and the throngs of people just make matters worse. When you do have a vehicle in the city, however, you need to worry about more than just driving, there’s also a little matter of parking. Someone in NYC is offering a solution to one lucky buyer – a parking space that’s being sold for $1 Million.

It’s a private spot that is being reported as ideal for celebrities or business people who may be camera shy, and comes with its own deed. At 12’x23’ it’s a roomy space, and is going for several times more than most of us could ever even afford for a house.

I understand how this is prime space in a city that’s overcrowded to begin with, but a million bucks? Perhaps it’s the fact that I’ll never make the kind of money that allows me to make a purchase like that, but I can’t help but think that’s rather extravagant.

On the other hand, if I were a multi-millionaire who spent time in New York, I would probably be singing a different tune.

Is the person selling this a genius, or out of their minds?
