
Wichita Falls Woman Uses Bibles to Transport Illegal Substances into Texas Prisons

If you're mailing something to a prisoner within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. It is heavily searched for contraband. It looks like in late May, two bibles were shipped to the James V. Allred prison in Iowa Park. The Texas Board of Criminal Justice Office of Inspector General investigated the package and tested the bibles for illicit substances. Paper within the bibles tested positive for synthetic cannabis.
How Does Synthetic Cannabis Work on This Bible?
Normally synthetic cannabis is made with several liquid chemicals that will mimic the effects of THC. These chemicals typically are then sprayed onto dried, shredded plant material and people will use this instead of marijuana leaves to get high. It looks like someone sprayed those chemicals onto several pages of these bibles, that could then be shredded and used for drugs within the prison.
Bibles Traced Back to Wichita Falls Office Depot Location
34-year-old Henna Havila Martinez has been seen mailing the bibles from a local Office Depot. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Martinez has mailed packages to several prisons throughout Texas. According to KFDX, she has mailed a newspaper to a prison in East Texas, where the paper also tested positive for illegal substances.
Charges for Sending Contraband into Prison
Henna Havila Martinez was arrested and charged this past Friday with three counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of prohibited substance in a correctional facility. In total, her bonds totaled $675,000. She is also being held on an ICE detainer with no bond since she is from Finland and not an American citizen.

Henna's public TikTok page has several videos dedicated to prison reform here in Texas and in one of the videos, she claims she is a prison wife. We will wait and see if more comes out about this case.
