When Hostess announced that they were closing their doors, people dropped everything they were doing and ran to the store to buy Twinkies and other sweet treats made by the company. It took no time before a box of Twinkies on eBay sold for $50 or more, and some mourned that state fairs wouldn’t have fried Twinkies any more. For those of you missing the Hostess treats, rejoice! Your favorites could be back on shelves as early as this summer!

The news comes after a successful bid by Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos & Co., who are willing to put up $410 million for the Hostess business. They’ll get most of the snack cake business, though Flower Foods has already obtained most of the bread business.

Are you excited to see the snacks come back?
