Toyota Commercial Features A Topless Bikini Model?
There’s one thing can be said for television overseas — they certainly do things a bit differently. In this Toyota ad, things are more than meets the eye. Japan has a reputation for doing things differently. Apparently their commercials are no different. They certainly pushed the envelope a bit here in the ad for the Auris – a car not sold in the U.S. It would seem that they are trying to sell us this car with a naked woman. Hey, who are we to judge? Sell away!
At first you think, “How can they show this woman with no cloths on? Then you realize, oh – that’s a dude.” Clever tactic, Japan! Well played. Maybe they were going for a “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” type analogy or something.
Maybe this groundbreaking ad means actual women will be topless in commercials soon. After all, we are in the market for a new ride, and seeing a nice rack would definitely get us to ignore all that fine print.
