Everybody loves a good list post, right? It doesn't matter if the list is actually meaningful or accurate, it just matters that there are some things lined down the page with numbers next to them. And since lists are the bees knees of the Internet, we put together one that will have you "oohing" and "ahhing" with your friends and family for weeks - the top 5 fire hydrants in Wichita Falls.

That's right, we scoured the entire city (okay, maybe not the whole city. It's cold out there people) to find the five best fire hydrants for your viewing pleasure.

Spoiler Alert! There was absolutely no specific criteria taken into consideration when selecting the 'best' fire hydrants in town.

    This one's different.

    Okay, technically this one isn't really a hydrant, it's a standpipe used to supply water to a building by pumping with a fire engine. We thought the list needed a little more variation so we included it anyway.

As it turns out...

According to some of the guys at Fire Station 1 downtown who manhandle these things on the daily, aside from the different colors on top, there isn't much variation to the appearance of fire hydrants around town. And they don't really have a 'best-to-worst' rating system either. As long as there is water coming out of them when they need it, they're good to go. So now you know.
