After having avoided allowing their existing studio albums to be officially shared on streaming services, Tool have finally entered the game. They've begun by uploading 72826, their demo tape from 1991.

As of now, 72826 is on all of the major streaming services -- Apple Music, Google Play, Pandora and YouTube -- except Spotify, and you can find it embedded below. The nearly 23-minute tape consists of six songs, "Hush," "Crawl Away," "Sober," "Jerk-Off" and live versions of "Cold and Ugly" and "Part of Me." "Sober" became their breakthrough when the version recorded for their 1993 debut Undertow reached No. 13 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart.

As Tool are looking back to their beginnings, they're also moving forward. After 13 years, they've finally about to release the follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days. It's arriving on Aug. 30 -- 4,869 days after 10,000 Days came out -- but as of press time, that's all that's known about it. They have yet to reveal its title, artwork or track listing, although they premiered two songs, "Descending" and "Invincible," at the opening night of their two-week tour of the U.S. in May.

The band had begun recording a few years ago with the hopes of having it ready in 2018, but six months after drummer Danny Carey made that declaration, frontman Maynard James Keenan said that it wouldn't happen until this year. Keenan had also previously blamed his bandmates for the delay, saying that it took "11 years of begging" for him to receive the final instrumental tracks from them so that he could add his lyrics and melodies.
