Calling all Texas Lottery Powerball players – check your tickets ASAP. Otherwise, you might miss out on $1 million. And that, my friend, would be a bona fide tragedy.

Even though I frequently write about the Texas Lottery, I rarely ever play. Don’t get me wrong, I find myself tempted to buy a ticket from time to time, but I hardly ever give in. Unlike my wife, who runs out and gets a ticket when the jackpot reaches like $300 million (because we couldn’t use a mere $1million, but $300 million is totally worth spending a few bucks on lottery tickets).

READ NEXT: Del Rio Resident Scores Massive $1 Million Lottery Prize

My thing is that even though I feel pretty lucky in life when it comes to my wife, kids, career, and so forth, I’ve never had much luck when it comes to gambling. I always bet an amount of money I can afford to lose, because that’s what will most likely happen.

While it sucks to lose any amount of money, I can’t imagine the grief I would feel if I realized I had missed out on $1 million. And that just might be the case for one Texas Lottery player.

Someone scored $1 million in the February 2 drawing, but has yet to claim their prize, according to a press release. That means they have until Saturday, August 1, to claim their money; otherwise, they will forfeit it. And that would be a damn shame.

So, if you bought a ticket at Circle K #2704686, located at 6107 W. Parmer Lane, in Austin, before the February 2 drawing, check your numbers ASAP. The ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers: 3-8-31-60-65, but not the red Powerball number, which was 4.

Let's spread the word, because I would hate to see someone miss out on a life-changing sum of money.
