Texas Calf with Black and White Face Named After KISS Rocker
A calf recently born at at Kerville, TX ranch has been named after Gene Simmons due to her black and white face and habit of sticking her tongue out.
Genie was born on July 28th at a Kerville, TX ranch, and was named after Gene Simmons due to her face coloring bearing a resemblance to Simmons' demon make-up. Hill Country Visitor, a tourist company for Texas Hill, reached out to Simmons on Facebook to notify Simmons of the cow's resemblance and insinuating it be a family resemblance by posting, "Gene Simmons, Where were you on our about November 26 2016?"
Due to the unique nature of the cow's appearance and the potential for publicity, The Sun reports that the ranch has decided to not raise the calf for slaughter and will instead make the cow the mascot of their steakhouse.
Ironically enough, this isn't the first time Simmons has been in the news for a cow-related story. Early in his career, urban legend was that Simmons' extra-long tongue was a result of grafting a cow tongue onto his actual tongue.
