Saturday Morning Cartoons are Officially Dead [VIDEOS]

Sad news to come out from this past weekend, a little piece of all of our childhoods died.

Saturday morning cartoons was something you would just do as a kid. You would get to sleep in, go get your favorite cereal and watch some amazing cartoons. As every generation says, the cartoons were way better in my day. I got 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' and nothing beats that.

For the first time in fifty years not a single cartoon was aired on the major networks on a Saturday. These are CBS, ABC, NBC and FOX. Seriously it is kind of depressing to think about. Granted kids have Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and the Disney Chanel. Not everyone has cable, so the only way some kids got cartoons were from the major networks.

These channels had some amazing cartoons back in the day. I hooked you up with some of my favorite intros back in the day. Rest in peace to a little piece of all of our childhoods.
