If you're a teacher and are going to be in the San Antonio area this month, go enjoy the zoo for free. You deserve it. 

The people in charge of educating the young minds of tomorrow deserve some freebies and this month is Educator Appreciation Month at the San Antonio Zoo. So if you're a teacher, you get in for free, but that's not all. Up to four guests can get in with you and their tickets will be half off.

To get the discount, you must be an active educator in a school district in Texas, employed by an accredited pre-K-12 public, private, or parochial school in the state of Texas.

All you need to do is provide a driver’s license and one of the following items at the zoo’s ticket window. Copy of Teachers Certificate, pay stub from school district/school (public or private school, or a photo ID/badge from school district/school.
