What are the Best Cities to Teach at in Texas?
Congratulations to several Texas cities making the list, but we need to get more on this list next year.
A new report just came out from AdvisorSmith ranking the best cities for teachers in the country. Laredo was named the best city to teach at in Texas, but El Paso is actually the best in the country in one category. El Paso is the best major city (Population of at least 500,000) in the country to teach at it.
Laredo's annual teaching salary $62,818 and the city has 4,120 teaching jobs available. The cost of living is one of the best in the country and the city has potential for more job growth as an educator as well. Laredo and El Paso made the top ten in the country. Cities like McAllen, Brownsville, Sherman, Amarillo, and Corpus Christi all made the top fifty.
