Rumors Are Abound That Corey Taylor Will Be The Next Velvet Revolver Frontman

As Velvet Revolver prepares to announce Scott Weiland's replacement, rumors have been circulating on the internet that Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour is the man for the job. Both Matt Sorum and Slash have said that the new singer is "heavier" than Weiland but can still carry a melody and that is definitely how I would categorize Taylor's style. The rumors really started to heat up when Slash's wife Perla tweeted last Saturday:  "At dinner with @KraveKelly @Slash and and mr corey! Good times good food, all good! Love my peeps!"

I like Corey's vocals but I'm not sure if I can see him with VR, but I have to admit it would be an interesting dynamic. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted!
